Modelling air source heat pumps

An air source heat pump is a device that extracts heat from the outside air to provide indoor heating. They are increasingly used as a replacement for central gas boilers in providing hot water for central air handling unit systems.

To model an air source heat pump, select the 'Hot Water Loop' on the HVAC Schematic. Then, click the 'plus' button next to 'Heating Devices and Pumps' and choose 'Air Source Heat Pump' from the menu.
