Credits
Credits are used for either detailed reporting of calculation results (Community Plan only) or for processing large or complex models.
Detailed Reports
On our Community Plan, detailed reports are available as an on-demand, low-cost solution to meeting building code compliance. They are included for free in our Essentials, Practice and Enterprise Plans.
To produce a detailed report, Credits must be prepurchased. Credits are available for 50, 250 (8% discount) and 500 Credits (12% discount), meaning the more Credits purchased, the cheaper the report cost.
Processing large or complex models
Credits are a game-changer when it comes to processing large models on our secure server. They offer a significant processing boost, approximately 20 times faster than running simulations on a local desktop. Just imagine, a calculation that would typically take 60 minutes for an energy simulation can now be completed in as little as 3 minutes!
To take advantage of this enhanced performance, Credits are required for simulations involving large models (>10,000 m² or 100 thermal zones) or those with complex characteristics. They are optional for small to medium models.
The number of Credits per simulation depends on the size and complexity of the model. For small (0 - 4999 m²), medium (5000 - 9999 m²), and large (10,000 m² +) projects, 1, 2, and 5 Credits are used per simulation. For moisture simulation, 1 Credit is used.
While Speckel offers free compute for simple models, larger models require dedicated servers to complete. By leveraging our powerful server infrastructure, you can accelerate your modelling and analysis processes, saving valuable time and achieving results more efficiently.
