Project a Roof

Projecting a Roof is typically undertaken when the thermal envelope of a building does not end at a ceiling line. In other words, it is projected to the roof line or into another zone in the building.

To Project a Roof, we must navigate to the zone we want to project. This can be undertaken in any number of zones to provide maximum flexibility. In the Drawing space, select a zone and then navigate to the zone panel. Then left-click 'Horizontal Ceiling'. Next, navigate to the 'Ceiling' tab, and under 'Ceiling Method', select the method to determine the method for assigning ceilings above Zones. Lastly, select 'Projected' to the zone selected projects to the external roof line, increasing the Zone volume. Select the Insulated Surface within the corresponding Roof by Tagging the Roof Surface.
