Skylights

A skylight is a part of the building envelope and is a window-like element placed on the roof of a building to allow natural light to enter the space from above.
Skylights can be added to any roof surface to be considered in energy or daylight modelling. Where compliance calculations are being undertaken, the Reference Building skylight is nominated as per the local Building Code.
Add skylights by selecting βDraw Skylightβ in the drawing space ribbon of the roof. Left-click the starting point of the skylight and hold and drag to the endpoint, then drag to the desired length of the skylight and hit 'Save'.
Skylights must be directly above a Zone and cannot be above two Zones, crossing an internal wall. It is generally ok to add up to five Skylights per zone. A roof may need to be split into multiple roofs to add more than five skylights.
