What is the Community Plan, and is it right for me?

Everyone starts on the Community Plan, with complimentary thermal bridging, upfront carbon, and building code assessments (H1 Energy Efficiency Acceptable Solution H1/AS1, H1 Energy Efficiency Acceptable Solution H1/AS2, NCC J1.5 Walls and glazing and NCC J4D6 Walls and glazing). If you are looking for a no-cost solution to undertake calculations for basic compliance, the Community Plan is for you.

Why is the Community Plan complimentary?

Focused on undertaking minimum compliance calculations, Speckel believes that all projects should benefit from our platform which offers a more holistic approach to design.

What does Speckel do with my data?

Very little is the quick answer. We don't provide user data back to suppliers, mine and sell it to others, or access your data until you give us express permission (provide a URL of your Project or Design). Your data is secure on our AWS server and is gone forever once deleted by you.

How many Projects can i create on the Community plan?

As many as you like. However, if we do find abuse of this complimentary service, we retain the right to remove access to your account in line with our T & C's.

Are Compliance Reports accepted by Councils and Local Authorities?

They sure are. Over the years, we have continued to refine our reports to be acceptable to Councils and Local Authorities, so expect very little resistance as you go through the planning process with Speckel.

Credits. What are they and how do they work on the Community Plan?

On our Community Plan, detailed reports are available as an on-demand, low-cost solution to meeting building code compliance. They start at 50 Credits or $25 + GST, and get cheaper with the amount of Credits purchased. They are only needed if you need a report to issue to the Council or a Local Authority. Read More.

Can i undertake H1 AS1 and AS2 calculations?

100%, but with a few limits. If you have ten zones or less, your project is 1000 m2, and you should be ready. The only potential cost is for a report, should you need one. These are prepurchased and charged under our Credit system. Read More.

Can i undertake a VURB assessment?

100%, but with a few limits. If you have ten zones or less, your project is 1000 m2, and you should be ready. The only potential cost is for a report, should you need one. These are prepurchased and charged under our Credit system. Read More.

Can i undertake NCC J1.5 and NCC J4D6 calculations?

100%. These are available for walls, roofs, floors and glazing systems and can be calculated as many times as you need. Read More.
