What is the Community Plan, and is it right for me?

Everyone begins on the Community Plan, which includes complimentary thermal bridging, upfront carbon, and key building code assessments (H1/AS1, H1/AS2, NCC J1.5, and NCC J4D6).

If you're seeking a no-cost solution for fundamental compliance calculations, the Community Plan is the ideal starting point.

Why is the Community Plan complimentary?

Focused on minimum compliance calculations, Speckel champions the idea that every project—regardless of scale—should benefit from a holistic, performance-driven design approach enabled by our platform.

What does Speckel do with my data?

Very little—that’s the short answer. We don’t share user data with suppliers, sell it, or access it without your permission (e.g., via a shared Project or Design URL). Your data is securely stored on AWS and permanently deleted when you choose to remove it.

How many Projects can i create on the Community plan?

You can create as many Projects as you like. However, to protect the integrity of this complimentary service, we reserve the right to revoke access in cases of misuse, as outlined in our Terms & Conditions.

Are Compliance Reports accepted by Councils and Local Authorities?

They certainly are. Our reports have been refined over time to meet the expectations of Councils and Local Authorities, so you can expect minimal resistance during the planning and compliance process.

Credits. What are they and how do they work on the Community Plan?

On the Community Plan, detailed reports are available on-demand as a low-cost compliance solution—starting at 50 Credits or $25 + GST, with volume discounts. Only purchase if a report is needed for Council or Local Authority submission.

Can i undertake H1 AS1 and AS2 calculations?

Absolutely—100% ready, with a few limits. If your project is under 1000 m² and has ten zones or fewer, you're good to go. The only potential cost is for a report, purchased via our Credit system.

Can i undertake a VURB assessment?

Absolutely—100%, with a few limits. If your project is 1000 m² or less with up to ten zones, you’re ready to go. The only cost may be a report, which is pre-purchased via our Credit system.

Can i undertake NCC J1.5 and NCC J4D6 calculations?

100%—with just a few limits. If your project is up to 1000 m² with ten zones or fewer, you're ready to start. The only possible cost is for a report, purchased in advance via our Credit system.

Can i undertake Upfront Carbon assessments?

100%. Calculations are available for walls, roofs, floors, and glazing systems—and you can run them as many times as needed.

Can i undertake Total R-value calculations?

100%. These calculations are available for walls, roofs, floors, and glazing systems—and can be performed as often as needed.
