Add Renewable Energy

Renewable energy is currently limited to including solar photovoltaics in your model, and estimating a site's solar potential and ability to offset the need for grid-based electricity is advantageous.

To add solar photovoltaics, navigate to the 'Renewables' button in the Site area. Select 'Draw Zones' and then draw the solar photovoltaic area you would like to consider in your model. Give it a title, and then click 'Set'. Next, left-click the newly drawn PV area and refine the Surface Coverage, Cell Efficiency, Azimuth, Tilt, Gap, Distribution, and Row Size. Click 'Save & Close'.

Where a specific PV kW value has been provided, override the settings to match the system size.
