Volume One of the NCC is also known as the Building Code of Australia (BCA). It sets out the minimum performance requirements for the construction of new buildings, as well as alterations and additions to existing buildings. The BCA covers a range of areas, including fire safety, structural integrity, access and egress, energy efficiency, and plumbing and drainage. Here we focus on energy efficiency only.
